Today the oldest active Mestre Cordel Branco in Rio.

Mestre Celso's Master is one of the greatest Masters ever, Mestre Artur Emidio.

Mestre Artur Emidio comes from Itabuna. Artur moved to Rio de Janeiro and as soon as he started teaching Capoeira, Mestre Celso went to his school.

Mestre Celso style of Capoeira is UNIQUE!

Mestre Celso is one of few Masters graded as Cordel Branco by Artur Emidio.

Mestre Celso has graded two Branco+Verde Mestres Mozart & Miltom and one Branco+Azul who passed away in 2000.

Mestre Celso has not yet graded anyone as Cordel Branco!

The main reason for this is because he is very strict with his graduations, all his students have to reach very high standards, not only physically but mentally as well.
